Basically the articles talked about face book and its bad thing and goods, one of the articles talked about how there is a correlation that face book users tend to have low grades and don’t do their homework unlike people who don’t use such sites. My opinion is that these statistics are ridiculous, I think there is no relationship between the two it is just a matter of the person who is being analyzed. This statistic is a negative view of what face book and how it affects the youth of our time. Basically that is the summary of this article and its view on face book. Another article is about colleges scanning and watching face book during its admission and how it can be an invasion of privacy, it’s like your boss getting information about you on face book by watching your profile and then firing you for something bad you put, basically it is a negative way to use face book and how you put on the net can affect you in real life. Would you put something controversial that may ruin your reputation? That is why you have to be careful on what you put because it may cause losing you better opportunities and impressions on someone else. No one knows who is going to be watching your profile, but only you can say what to put in your space. Face book is for you and it is about you but have in mind that who is going to be watching you information because you never know when the opportunity might come to make your impression. Face book can be a tool where you can share with your friends or a portal where anybody can see what you’re up to and judge you by your content that you post to the whole world, whether it is your family or friends watching, be careful it might be your ex lover or your boss watching you. If face book is making us dummier then we’d all be a victim of it because there are millions of users and it will be an insult to the face book community. My advice is keep your grades up and be careful on what you put because it may affect your personal life. As personal as face book is sometimes it was meant to be trespassed, what you put is a sign that you want people to see the real you.

reflecting todays experience

Today were put in partners and were asked to discuss our paper. The teacher Ms. Crawford required us to make a timeline describing every part of our vlog, she made us do like an organizer for our ideas and put them together from the smallest detail to the main point of this whole essay. The method she used was a very interesting one and enlightenment to the whereabouts of how to start of the essay, it provided tips and tools to better detail our written report. We used every kind of detail that was given in the video to make clear everything that surrounds the subject on the vlog. Everything from what he wears to the sound in his place and especially how he sounded in his video, what he wore and the issue he was talking about. The technique the teacher showed helped me a lot organizing my thoughts onto my essay and my partner’s help were very handy in fact I helped with her paper that she needed too. Her advice was just as good as mine that we need to add more details and make the story more comprehensible without losing touch of the main topic; we basically just took our ideas to another direction in writing and not to bore with uninteresting ideas to make it seem interesting in the subject we are about to write. The knowledge that was given to us was a very helpful piece and I will be forward to using this method in my paper in hopes to create a better essay to a better grade in my course in English.

Brief Description About our "Vlog"

Vlogs are all very interesting in their own unique way; it is a video about each one’s thoughts expressed in a very different and awkward way. Still, many people use it in millions and most are just regular people just looking to experience something new yet usually curiosity wins. My Vlog was about a guy who goes by the name of audible484, a rapper who is vlogging about his music but at the same time he feels as if it was something weird, he describes this feeling and his emotions kick in, he seemed very nervous and could not help stumbling over his words but still he played it off and went more onto his music. His living room was all white and he was dressed with a dark sweater with a shirt that had tuxedo designs on it and the background you could hear the song superman playing by Eminem, he gave opinions about his music and at the same time asked viewers to check out and make comments about his music and gave links to his MySpace on how to communicate personally with him. His propaganda about his music was different because it is a way to spread his style of music through the YouTube audience and was a very effective way to increase his publicity and his music. The YouTube and the music business always go good together and that’s how it relates to this upcoming star with big dreams. His motivation is very interesting and would like people to hear his music and his style and share his knowledge and skills on the microphone. Any vlogger would be shy at first it is an awkward feeling being in front of millions of people and feeling like there is no one watching, audible484 was very descriptive and also expressed his nervousness in front of the webcam , he felt like he could do it but at the moment it was a very weird and long experience. So I leave this vlog to tell you that the world now a day is growing like anything in this world thanks to YouTube and maybe you should try this wondrous experience.

Reflect on Today's YouTube Video

Today we were assigned to watch a very interesting YouTube video. Our teacher was explaining how today in the world mostly everything is made throughout the Internet and made us watch this long but very interesting video. We had to reflect upon this anthropological introduction to the knowing of YouTube. First it gave an actual statistic on how it had more views than any other network in the U.S. Their numbers were amazing and their ratings were way better then television just by doing simple videos on the net. YouTube has expanded its ratings all over the world; anyone can view any video from any place. You Tube has more viewers than the highest rated television network. More interesting facts are that people use it for a variety of reasons regarding YouTube, many people or better said most people use it for comedic and interesting bizarre things that are being recorded using video cameras. It showed how a normal but interesting video made itself famous and viewed all around the world, one example was a guy who came to this country felt very lonely because he had no friends, so he held up a sign while people were walking, the sign said “Free Hugs” and as more and more people say that everybody stopped and gave the man hugs, he started growing popularity and more and more people were spreading this heartwarming movement, people from all over the country started doing this and soon it spread all over the world. Another interesting use of YouTube was the “Vlogs” which basically was a blog but instead of typing you say the blog, more and more people started this and soon became a new experience especially for new users, “it is a awkward feeling talking to a web cam to millions of people, yet, you feel like no one is there” basically YouTube is a whole new generation of technology understanding and bringing people together, so many videos can make you feel so many emotions, YouTube has become the most talked, viewed, and most popular tool on the Internet and in the world.

reflect on difference between blog 3's and email essay

I will discuss on how my email essay has evolved and differentiated wen i first started and how every single help that i got contributed to my essay. My first draft looks like a mess when i look at it today, it is a very big difference and it has taught me a lot about writing passages. The hardest part was setting an appointment for the writing center, it was a challenge because many people also think that the writing center is a big help and a line is there just to revise over papers. That was a challenge and an experience for so i can better prepare myself in the future. Mainly all of the hard part was the meeting for the revising and trying to get the best draft possible.

Now it looks way different than it used to, it looks smart, simple and easy to follow without loosing interest. A very big help that appointment was and very insightful the instructors were. Hopefully in the future i will prepare so that i can look forward to a meeting to further my knowledge and learn new ways to expand my editing and revising for a better paper. That is usually all i got to say it was a very learning experience, i should definitely invite people whenever they have questions or doubts or who just want suggestions on how to better an essay.

reflecting on workshop experience

When i finished my rough draft i was told for me to go to the writing center and get help from them, i really did not know what i was doing. I was told it was mandatory in order to pass the email essay. When i got it was all like a computer lab but what i didn't know was the help there was so useful that my draft was filled with lines and corrections that i didn't even realize. They helped me solve for better words and shorten run ons so that my writing was more legible and my paragraphs more structured. It was very useful and it took only suggestions and advice to solve problems on my essay. So if anyone wants to get professional help just go to the writing center and set your appointment.

I also got help from my fellow classmates and suggestions and advice so that i can further my writing. Many things were said usefully pinpointing errors and common mistakes, I learned that i use repetition a lot and i will try to fix that so i can write more professionally in a near future. Anyway my experience was very useful and i know we will be working more often in groups so tat we can help each other to better our writing.

Can you imagine that back then there wasn't such a thing as a dating service online, now it is something you must try just so you can meet that perfect someone but can alsohave bad consequenses if not well protected. One of the articles it talked about e-harmony being against gays. it is said that they only match peaple of the opposite sex and is not open to such ways of living, it heated off a debate towards this. It said that the website owner was a christian man and did not support such matches but it cant be done nothing about this subject. i think services should be open to anyone because it will be a benefit to the owner, im not saying to benefit from that beleif but allow it so that the world would not be so close minded.

Another article was a about this guy who met someone but turned out to be a guy. it is very disappointing end to such relacionship which the site user did not like at all. it also talked about the class rules on how each has to date their own class in that country. I think that people should be more careful what they get into while dating online because you never know what you are going to get into with such technology. Both articles were very interesting and very knowledgeable that technology is advancing in higher rates.

Reflecting on todays experience 9/16

Today we were formed in groups and adjust and get opinions and advice from our fellow classmates, we each formed a group regarding the essay and discussing how we can better our writing and prolong each paragraph. Our main goal was to keep the writing legible and comprehensive. I learned that in each statement there is a descriptive method to add more detail on each word so that it can keep the reader hooked on the passage. There is more to a reason of the topic that was being discussed which was about complaining about your grade but it had to be a good enough reason. My reason was my job, it was sort of difficult to make up a good enough excuse so it can be a reason to excuse such a grade.

The help i received from my companions was very helpful and the discussion with the teacher was all worthwhile, it basically taught me how to be a better writer and use the knowledge to create professional type writings so i can further my skills and benefit from this method. she taught us about repetition and thesis statements. The best ways to doing a good essay is the right way but each has to be more unique than the other with different words and situations. Anyways today's experience was very insightful and i will be looking forward to learning more.

summerize the 2 articles for today 9/11

The two articles i Will summarize is about the Internet and its uses with other appliances such as an iPhone. One of the articles was AL gore's "should schools be wired to the Internet" was very interesting because every school should have Internet access and teach the usage of such gadget for beneficial use. One thing i learned about this articles is the way it helped students in unique ways to a better study habit. The Internet opens doors for anyone who is interested in knowing, everyone should have a way of communicating in the Internet. His theory and statistics on how it helps is amazing, all of them are true and will benefit students entirely.

The other article was about that one student got caught in school with his iPhone and was actually using an app to do his classwork, it shows you how far technology has advanced that even the most popular gadget can be used for educational purposes. Apps were used for such of the dumbest reasons like sending a high pitch so that only kids can hear it, but now new apps will help for school and benefit students all over the u.s. Although many reasons oppose the use of the ipod touch during school, hopefully, the world will see that it is a necessity not a disturbance.

One of the articles that was given today was about does texting affect our writing? The debate was an opinion if texting was getting to be a bad habit and how people, especially teenagers, would write messages onto a writing assignment using vocabulary used in texting environment, such as words shortened or abbreviated to make the message shorter such as "lol' or "omg", is it really affecting our writing? My opinion would be that it doesn't necessarily affect us if we know how to control it, you have to know when to use it or not because you never know when it will be important to use appropriate pronunciations in words or dialogues. Another subject the article presented was that it gives us carpal tunnel syndrome, i think our body is capable of supporting such actions as pushing a button but i guess some people might have a defect and might affect them but is it much to blame cellphones for everything? I think that everybody in this generation is writing more on profiles such as Facebook, Myspace, etc. than we did so many years ago.

Second article talked about free ipods that were given to those who attend certain colleges. It sparked up a debate because of the ipod company selling its propaganda for profit and taking advantage of the opportunity for our generation. My opinion would be against this sort of campaigning by the big companies it is unfair and useless to give away an ipod to a college environment, how about a laptop? it would actually help much more than paying monthly for useless phones or players of mp3, it is more of an entertainment tool than it is for knowledge use. Both articles talked about technology and how it affects our everyday life, the good things and the not so good things, either way we know that we are in a new beginning in our time in life, different opinions will be said about these new events that destined to change our life.

Writing Process

hm it's kind of a challenge working your way up to writing something but really it is very simple, just speak your mind, i don't know about you but when it comes to writing i calm my thoughts because sometimes it is harder to start writing instead of actually writing it. When you get home try to find a calm place, get yourself a drink and instead of going straight to writing go do something else that interest you, for example, watch the television, listen to some music or just simply lay down (just don't fall asleep) and when your mind is at peace, your thoughts just come to you like if it was something natural.

Start thinking of ways to make your selection interesting, you know stuff that just pops out and gathers attention from readers. Get ideas from what you saw on television or the radio or what you were thinking about and try to fit it in the composition. take a break every now and then. Don't rush your thoughts and your knowledge or you might end up crowding and cramming sentences together and they might not make sense for some readers. Remember the way you see it others will see it, so if you make it interesting others will think of it that way.

Reflecting discussion in class today

The discussion that was given today was about our shedule for the whole semester, every detail that was given prior to our assignments and our weekly goals to submit our work yo the exact due date. The teacher talked about reading resources and present it to the class to spread knowledge on what is going on in todays world, each assign to a diffrent group containing multiple articles on which different opinions are stated and presented to class to view other students own personal response and feeling towards the given article. We got discussions on our web email linked to the school called pals account and how it will keep us in touch to our helping of knowledge given by the teacher and also keeps teacher and student more in touch with each other for a more understanding of each individual and capabilities that certain students posses.

One thing i liked was that everything is done by computer, some students may not view this the same way i do but the world is spreading technolgy to be a useful resource for students. Another thing was the pals account were students can communicate with teacher and staff and on todays discussion about future goals. One more thing might be that we can see our homework, our courses, syllabus and assignments for future references. Well that is what i understood about the discussion that was given to the whole class in the computer lab and i learned more about technolgy in this class than any other course and i understand the importance of having such resources at home. My plan is to be more active in my learning in that class because i might fall behind, must i use the knowlegde that was given to me on todays discussion so i can better prepare for this course in my college life.

My Grade!!!! Letter

hey bro, what's up?

I'm here just sitting in my room glaring wildly at this report card, its ridiculous! How come I have a 60 in economics? I'm not asking you but myself,it's silly i know but i need some help, but anyways i have been doing my work for that college course, i even took away from MY valuable time to take tutoring sessions and this is what i get? But it's not my fault the teacher is as boring as a turtle race, his voice is a monotone. Before i start running my mouth on who's fault is it i want to tell you that the teacher gave me some make up tests so i can fix my grade to a proper passing 80, you go with me if you like but i still have to complete tomorrow's exam and it's a big one. Honestly this grade has got me shaking and trembling, it's too much stress or maybe i am just whining too much i don't know but i will try my best to fix it.

Another thing is that my parents don't even know, I'm not too worried about that but this grade will affect their position on me being independent and all and i don't really want to risk that. Their understanding is i can manage anything without their help and this grade is not letting that happen so i really need support right now. Maybe it is my fault I'm not passing, i have been a little distracted during classes and i ditch work to go out with my friends...... hm it's starting to come to me... i guess it is, but I'll see what i can do to be a better student and attend class more often. I honestly wish i could go back in time and fix all of the days i missed but time is an enemy for those who wait. I hope you stayed on this blog long enough to understand because i know you don't like to read but I'll pick you up tomorrow, just text me as soon as you read this.

How Do You Use Technology In the World?

Technology is spreading throughout the earth and is growing by the second. Businesses, homes, offices and schools depend on technology to go on with their life, creating a new world of advance techniques to facilitate life. Technology brings new meanings to work and study bringing resources to life allowing more knowledge to be communicated through the media using technology as a portal. Many technologies are commonly used from computers to many gadgets and tools to ease hardships and create a new age where it doesn't matter what it replaces, its a matter of how it helps in this generation.



Advances in technology might even save the world one day. With this fragile environment it is more than common to use technology to create methods for conserving our ecosystem and other options instead of abusing the planets natural resources causing problems and conflicts for a near future. So it is important and useful to our world and it is going to keep proggressing as time and knowledge goes by, technology will grow to be the most dependent resource in our world, so it is important to keep up on the latest technologic discovery.
